Best restaurant in Florence! A real authentic Italian meal. The owner, Coscimo, was very friendly. He sat at the table with us and explained the whole menu in English for us. He made his pesto in house and the pesto linguine was amazing. The antipasto with the variety of meats and cheese was so good. The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Great conversations with him and the other staff as well as the table next to us. We were drinking wine and having many laughs. I couldn’t imagine a better night. Moments like this is what life is all about. We will be back again.

The best meal we enjoyed in Italy! The food is so tasty and extremely generous portions. We walked in and it felt homely and really authentic. Cosimo sat us down and explained the menu (hand written everyday and everything is freshly made). We received many appetisers (on the house), our mains were delightful (the linguine pesto is DIVINE) and the tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal. Most wholesome and delicious experience in Italy so far! 100% recommend, do not miss out when in Florence! <3

THIS is what I always pictured the cultural/dining experience in Italy to be like Quite literally the best meal I have ever eaten, anywhere. The handwritten, photocopied menus are explained at the table by the chef himself, Cossimo, in loving detail. He showered us with complimentary bits and pieces before what we actually ordered arrived (including the best olives I’ve ever tasted, sun-dried tomatoes, sundried tomato sauce, sliced porchetta, warm focaccia, and croutons). The pasta itself was simple and exquisite — the star of the pesto is the high quality Italian olive oil, not overwhelmed by the sparingly used basil and pecorino cheese. We also ordered the porcini mushroom fettuccini, as Cossimo explained that porcini mushrooms are in season and perfect for eating at the moment in Italy. The ravioli pillows were enormous and yet somehow, light as air; the ragu was equally delicious. Such a special meal at such an unassuming little spot. Thank you Cossimo for your hospitality and your incredible passion. I will recommend this place to everyone I meet who plans to visit Florence!

Best food I’ve had in Italy by FAR! The service is second to none. Family run restaurant with the owner coming to every table to explain the menu & answer questions. Fast service, and you can tell they genuinely care about each and every single customer. Never feeling rushed & all of the food is homemade , you can really tell the difference. Not to mention the gigantic portions & extremely fair prices. I would give this place 10 stars if I could, I’ll definitely be coming back again!

The best dining experience. I have been around the world to many great restaurants, which include fine dining experiences, and yet the owner of this restaurant created an experience that I will not forget. The warm, friendly environment combined with the simple but delicious authentic Italian food is something special. The owner sat in a chair next to us and explained the whole menu in detail, which is only something typically experienced in fine dining. It was personal and heartfelt. For the first time, I understand what people mean when they say they food is emotional.

Amazing restaurant experience - such a passionate chef and great service too. I told the chef I couldn't decide between two plates so he did half and half for me! Excellent prices and fresh pasta that's made each morning. The chef also took the time to talk me through the handwritten Italian menu as I only speak English. Excellent place, can't recommend enough.
